We really enjoyed our stay at this truly luxurious home in a lovely green coffee plantation. The house is beautiful, extremely spacious and well done up with old world charm.... Read more The room and bathroom were impeccably kept with all amenities. There was even a large screen projector home theater, a library, a nice verandah with a foos ball table, and a trampoline for kids, all of which added to the fun time we had at their property. But the cherry on the cake was the mind blowing food! There was so much attention to detail, local specialties were served, and the host Siddhesh's mother went out of her way to prepare homemade delicacies for us. Every meal was delicious! Unfortunately we couldn't do the plantation walk this time due to wildlife but there's a beautiful lake in the property and we hope to explore the rest of the plantation as well next time as it looked very inviting. The prices are higher compared to other homestays, but trust me, the food, service and the luxury of the house itself made it worth every penny. Siddhesh, Geetanjali, and their two sweet kids Jia and Neil were wonderful hosts and made our son feel truly at home too. We will definitely visit again!

I traveled with my family to Siddhanta manor for a two-night stay. It was a memorable experience overall and we will definitely visit again. First, I liked the fact that... Read more Siddhanta Manor has a sign board on the highway. The road from the highway to Siddhanta Manor is easy to miss thanks in part to Google Maps. The sign helped us get there without going around in circles. The home simply looks like a labour of love. I always dream about the kind of home I would build if I had the time, land and resources and Siddhanta Manor checks a lot of boxes. The long verandah going around the house was spacious and wonderfully furnished. The rooms were spacious. Even the staircase had personality. The rooms are air-conditioned, but we didn't need the AC. Although it is a home-stay, it is professionally run. The rooms are cleaned every day and they even offer turn down service. The services were similar to an upscale hotel - discrete but effective. We opted to have all our meals at Siddhanta Manor. Every single meal was wonderful. Home cooked local food, with variety. Snacks and coffee were available between meals. All in all, a great experience. The home is kid-friendly. They have a large trampoline, a play house, a lake nearby and a fair amount of space around the property. For the adventurous type, there are hiking trails nearby and the possibility of spotting wildlife. The plantation itself was peaceful and wonderful to walk around. The hosts were wonderful. We spent most of our time with them and they were wonderful company. Their dogs and cat were very friendly and wonderful with kids.
We just got back from what was our third visit with our family and friends to Siddhanta Manor within a three month span. And it's only now that I decided... Read more to write a review. So why do we go there so often? 1. Drive time from Bangalore of 3.5 hours makes it an effortless drive. The 180 km stretch from Bangalore to Hassan is a breeze, with tolled four lane highways. However, the last 20 odd kilometres to Ballupet where the manor is located is a single lane road with several areas where the road is a bit patchy from high way construction work. Overall, very comfortable. 2. The home is exquisite. The rooms are classy, clean and well maintained. The long sit-out that skirts the stately estate home on three sides has several nooks where you can lounge and take in the crisp country air, read a book, or just gaze at the pepper wines, swaying arecanut palms and coffee bushes with the soothing sound of rustling leaves as a background score. The bathrooms are as good as any international chain hotel, which is a big thing for me. 😉 3. Sakleshpur is the best kept secret. And this homestay is a great base to explore the surrounding countryside which has traditionally been overshadowed by Chikmagalur and Coorg. If you're willing to go off the highways either by walk or drive, the regions sights are simply breathtaking and very rewarding. 4. The hosts really add the word "home" in Home Stay. Gitanjali and Sid are informal, relatable folks who are happy to let you into their world and make you feel like you knew them forever. And the coffee served is first class! 5. Meal time is always exciting with a selection of Malnad (the Sakleshpur region has its own culture and identity) recipes which are unabashedly local, both meat and veg. The local cuisine can be a tad spicy so do let them know if you have special needs in advance. 6) And finally, while they have four rooms, they do not let them out to different groups, from a Covid safety perspective. That was a clincher for us and a huge draw to come back. Besides the fact that our two kids love the house, the friendly dogs, and the simple act of running around without a care, or a mask! A word of advise, it's a home stay - a very comfortable one at that - not a "resort", so do ensure you match expectations. If you like laidback, personable experiences, Siddhanta Manor is your home away from home. Happy traveling!

Read more cooperative staff, overall a great experience. Only one thing to complain, the Pricing ! The estate and home stay is good and luxurious only in aesthetics. At the end of the day did not get the satisfaction of value for money for the services provided. I have experienced better home stays for much cheaper prices. This definitely will be my go to place in Sakleshpur going forward if offered at reasonable price.

We stayed at Siddhanta Manor for 1 night in October 2020. It was a very positive experience spanning several dimensions. The rooms were decorated in a traditional decor with large... Read more beds (very important for us) and provided a sense of space as well as comfort. The hosts and their staff was focused on our service all throughout our stay (we were with friends who stayed there for two nights) leaving us wanting for nothing. The food was authentic, simple and was made right in front of us. The massive courtyard provided a sense of space for our children to run around and their pets (those alcohol inspired names are cool:-) were fun to be around. A brief evening walk through the coffee plantation to the lake provided a touch point with nature and was relaxing. And IPL on that big projector screen made us question whether buying large TVs was worth it! Given COID 19, it was impressive how cautious the hosts and staff was (always on masks for staff and food served on an open verandah provided confidence). Would love to spend more time here in future! Thank you for the memories.

A very highly recommended place.
